Time to restart the blog after a 10 month vacation

Ok time to restart this mess.

The last time I posted on here it was winter. So I guess this is a winter thing. Once again it is freggn' cold and living in Chicago sucks in the winter, except the view when you go downtown. I was thinking about driving down there tonight in the midst of all this crazy weather to take some pictures. I think it will be worth it. Eh, we'll see about that. Oh yea I looked at weather.com and punched in 90210 for a zip @ 6pm. It said 62 degrees. :(

So I got this job with UR magazine a couple months ago. My latest deadline is Dec. 14. I need 5 pictures a month. As of now I have zero. The assignment is 5 photos of people on the street that are relatively fashionable. I thought I would have time but now with this storm coming in...I'm screwed. Ah well. Anyways the monthly pics will be available online at photographee.com.

This pic was taken of Ethan yesterday. He had went to get a hair cut for the first time in a long while. You can't really tell but his hair is in a faux-hawk.

Well I start working for Verizon Wireless on Monday. I will be training at the corporate office for who knows how long and then I will permanently be located at the Darien Circuit City store. So, if anyone needs a phone let me know.

I finally dumped geocities as my website host of www.verycrazyeric.com, w00t. They were too expensive and didn't give me any storage space. So look for a lot more content to be coming soon. In related news, I've also acquired www.photographee.com which will be my site for all of my photography. That will be going live in the weeks to come.

Ehhhhh.... this has been boring. Sitting here waiting for my new job is driving me crazy. I sleep days, and stay up all night. Well yesterday I got our first christmas tree. The above pic is it all done.

Well it has been considerably the most idiosyncratic week of my life. The week started off well with little, or far less from the usual drama at work on Saturday. Well I had the option to work Sunday but I elected not to. Sunday night I called my father and asked if he and my sister wanted to come over to have some cake. My fathers’ birthday was on the 4th and my sisters was on that Sunday. They arrived. I gave my sister a vodka and tonic and before I knew it myself and my dad was trying to prevent her from freaking out. She was wasted. To prevent her from vomiting I quickly crushed up a chaser pill and put it in some water, had her chug it, and within 15 minutes she started to sober up. Everything was fine. So they left. I was sitting at my computer about to write in my blog and I had the strangest feeling to come up with my "plan B" for my career. So I jumped on monster.com and applied for 20 something jobs. Lucky for me I did that because the next day at work I was pretty much forced to quit. I hadn't done and thing wrong but I knew my time to move on have come. Again, lucky for me I had an interview the next day at 930am. It was crap but at least it was something. Anyway to fast forward a little, today I found out I have a job with Verizon starting on the 20th (pending a drug test and criminal background check) but I think I'll be ok.

Other then that I have wrapped most of my Holiday presents and I still have more shopping to do. I think I will take a trip to woodfield tomorrow. I do feel very lucky to spend the Holidays with my family though. If you are alone this Holiday season I suggest going here. Uhhhgg lots to do still. I still have to post pics of my bobble heads and the new shelves. Ehh I'll get around to it. Well ok I am going to do something constructive now.

Awesome, just awesome. Yesterday it started to snow, after a week of 60 degree weather. Maybe it was a look at what was to come this holiday season. One of the most busy travel days of the year and the weather goes haywire. It think there is a point trying to be made. I am not looking forward to today or the rest of the holiday season. I really really don't like the cold.

Ok I am back. Last weekend was a blur something with drinking and its all just a haze at this point. Ethan has been kind of sick with this really nasty cough. So I took off work on Tuesday to take care of him. After he went to bed I thought I would take care of myself. So Sully and I split a bottle of apple vodka, yes a whole bottle, and we were feeln' pretty good. So we did the only thing that made sence to do, play video games. The rest of the week was work, work, work. Despite the stress of the week, no drinks tonight. Just some fruit and herb tea and soup. So now it's Saturday morning technically, and I have a crap load of stuff to do when I wake up. That's why I decided to type in my blog so I don't forget what I have to do. Ok here is my list: buy new exhaust fan (home depot) install it, finish putting up bobble head shelves (i'll have pics up), copy netflix movies, and CLEAN! Ok, we'll see if I even get one of those things done.

Here is a pic of Colonel Sanders that was on display at Fusion Project Modification this past Sat. It was pretty cool. I took all the photography for the fashion show. Some of the pics are here http://etography.blogspot.com/ But before I get in to that on our way to the show that night we exited 290 off of western and wittnessed a homeless women in a wheel chair go up to the car in front of us. Pretty standard, money for crack or something. So the hand reaches out of the car and gives the women a wad of cash. Before the women can even crack a smile the car speeds off and catches some of the wheel chair with it. The women looked like she pooped her pants. The car continued forward. The homeless women was alright just shaken up a little. I turn to Sully and Steph and say, "I don't care who is in that car, I'm gonna tell them they just hit that lady." So I sped up and I yelled in to their window, "HEY YOU JUST HIT THAT LADY!!" much to my suprise it was Lori driving and Kathy in the passanger seat. They screamed back at me once they saw who I was, "I KNOW!!!" I said, "Nice." and drove on shaking my head.

So after we arived we got to work. Steph, the previous day had spent many hours putting up a awesome display for one of the pics I took in Thailand. This night she was putting the rest of my work on the wall, which also looked awesome. Sully and I killed a full bottle of vodka. That will not happen for a while again. I think I got so trashed because I miss the city, my friends, and I guess just having everything so close, before. Don't get me wrong Lisle is nice but I don't know.......something about the city. After the show Me, Steph, Sully, Mark, and Dan (Jet Li), went to a bar called Danny's. I was pretty chill. The crowd there were very cool and not stuck up like your typical Chicago bar enviroment. Kind of like the bar in Lisle. Funny huh?! After that we went to Taylor & Rosevelt to get a Maxwell St. Polish and headed home.

So far I have recieved a huge positive response from the pics I took at the show. I really had a lot of fun doing it too. Overall I would say this was a great end to my vacation from work.
